I’m Elizabeth, a San Diego native with a lifelong love of travel, storytelling, and discovering the places that make Southern California special.

Born and raised in San Diego, I created SoCal Travel Blog to share my love of my hometown and the incredible destinations, attractions, events, restaurants, hotels, and experiences throughout Southern California. From hidden gems and local favorites to major attractions and seasonal events, my goal is to help readers find something new to explore—whether they’re locals or visiting for the first time.

 

I earned my degree from California State University San Marcos, with an emphasis in Organizational and Industrial Psychology. My background taught me the value of research, organization, and attention to detail—skills that have become an important part of how I approach travel writing and storytelling.

What started as a passion for exploring my own backyard has grown into a platform that combines travel, entertainment, food, family-friendly experiences, and Southern California lifestyle. In addition to SoCal Travel Blog, I contribute to print publications and other travel websites, and I enjoy connecting with brands, destinations, tourism organizations, and local businesses to share their stories with my audience.
