Beach Hotel in Del Mar

The Del Mar Beach Hotel is a beautiful beach front property located in the heart of Del Mar. The property is located minutes from adorable shops and plenty of food choices. It is also near the Del Mar racetrack. The entrance to the hotel is just north of powerhouse park and it is easily accessible. The check-in process is easy, and the lobby is located on the south side of the building. The lobby is contemporary and clean, and the staff was very welcoming and made it very easy for us to check in. The lobby had a small shop with the necessities. It also had a variety of wine and a gourmet coffee machine.

Our room was spacious enough for one adult and two children. Our room was located on the second floor and offered a full Oceanview. The king bed was comfortable, my 11-year-old and shared the king and my 13-year-old slept on a blowup bed was provided by the hotel upon our request. Everyone had a very restful stay on our one-night trip. The rooms are impeccably remodeled and offer a beach chic look. The bathrooms are completely redone and feature an overhead rain shower and cozy robes! The room also had an adjoining room option which would be great for a family.

The hotel room was just a step away from the welcoming sand of Del Mar Beach. The hotel provides a beach Butler who can assist with getting all your beach items prepared for your trip that day. They have towels, sand toys, boogie boards, chairs, and more! In addition to this amenity when you return to the hotel there is a foot wash station that offers nice hot water. They even offer sand brushes that hang on each door - This was an ingenious idea! The patio that surrounds the property offers some great amenities as well. There were many comfy areas to dine or just relax on the deck. There was an inviting fire pit and several teak loungers just waiting for guests to sunbathe!

During our stay we spent most of the time at the beach. In fact, we did not want to venture away from this beachfront property so we had food delivered to the hotel so that we could spend all our time enjoying our beach getaway. We also enjoyed a meal at the beach shack next-door to the hotel. It had concession items including ice cream! While sitting on the beach you can see many people also enjoying the ice cream, I think it must be a local favorite spot!

Overall, we had a very comfortable stay, and the staff was very helpful! I must give the staff a shout out because being a property on the beach I was impressed there was not a grain of sand in that hotel room when we arrived! If your family is looking to book a comfortable and authentic beach vacation, I would book at the Del Mar beach hotel. This remodeled location offers contemporary comforts and that sleepy beach town feel all at the same time!
