BARLEYMASH

barleymash will transform into Area 619, featuring specialty food and drinks, and an invite-only cocktail lounge during Comic-Con, from July 23 - July 26.

 

Sip on The Mothership ($19), with Patron Blanco Tequila, ube, coconut, and lime, Warp Speed ($17) - Bacardi Rum, pineapple, orgeat, blue curaco, and lime, Close Encounter ($18), made with Grey Goose, melon, lime, mint, and melon balls, or the Galactic Buzz ($18) - Cazadores Reposado, cold brew, coffee liqueur banana cream.

 

Food specials include the Zoidberg-er ($22), a crab Rangoon-style patty with sweet chili sauce, wonton crisp, and green onion cream cheese spread on a brioche bun with fries, Drax-A-Roni and Cheese ($22) - ale braised pork, salsa verde, Mexican street corn sauce, and tortilla crisps tossed with tajin, and topped with cotija all on mac and cheese, Pizza Planet Pockets ($18), pepperoni pizza empanadas with za sauce, and Experiment 626 AKA Stitch ($14) - peanut butter ice cream and strawberry jam sandwiched between rice crispy treats.

 

The invite-only cocktail lounge Space Smugglers Cantina will feature exclusive cocktails, galactic vibes, and black market bites. To get in, you’ll have to DM @barleymashsd for the "secret password".

 

There will also be away swag, prizes, and out-of-this-world goodies throughout Comic-Con!

CLOAK & PEDAL

MICHELIN Guide-recognized Cloak & Petal brings sushi and other Japanese-inspired cuisine to downtown’s Little Italy neighborhood with Japanese street art and vibrant hues as a backdrop. During Comic Con week, Executive Chef Robert Cassidy is adding two specialty rolls to the menu:

 

Spidey Sense Roll – pepper crusted tuna, softshell crab, jalapeno whipped goat cheese, avocado, cucumber, asparagus, chipotle miso, fig compote & shiso

Deadpool Sashimi – pan seared gochugaru albacore, sambal butter ponzu, pickled fresno, salsa macha, shaved red onion, guajillo shio & cilantro


On the drinks side, Bar Director Johnny Perez is adding three specialty cocktails to the menu for the festivities:

Shinobi Logan (Mijenta Blanco Tequila, Shochu, Cucumber, Shiso, Lime, Light Braulio Float) – a bright and refreshing blend of cucumber, shiso, and citrus with subtle herbal depth. Inspired by Logan’s disciplined warrior spirit and his mastery of the shadows during his time in Japan.

Ronin Wolverine (Mijenta Reposado Tequila, Yuzu, Cherry Blossom Tonic, Dash of Tres Tribus Mezcal) – a crisp highball balancing smoky tequila, vibrant yuzu, and delicate floral notes. Inspired by the wandering samurai searching for purpose, honor, and redemption.

Berserker Weapon X (Nikka Whisky, Hine Cognac, Black Sesame Orgeat, Smoked Salt, Chocolate Bitters, Orange Bitters) – a rich and powerful cocktail layered with nutty, smoky, and warming flavors. Inspired by the untamed rage of Weapon X and the raw power that lies beneath Wolverine’s control.

 

Happy hour is Monday – Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.



MARGARITAVILLE HOTEL SAN DIEGO

This Comic-Con, LandShark Bar & Grill is leaving Earth behind and transforming into the LandShark Lunar Landing Bar—an immersive tropical spaceport where ocean breeze meets intergalactic adventure. Guests are invited to dock at the galaxy's most laid-back outpost, where cosmic explorers, bounty hunters, space smugglers, and beach lovers come together to refuel before their next mission. The out-of-this-world experience will feature glowing cocktails, celestial décor, atmospheric lighting, interactive photo moments, and live entertainment. Blending the beachy of LandShark with a darker, sci-fi-inspired aesthetic, the Lunar Landing Bar invites guests to embrace the strange, sip something stellar, and experience island hospitality with an intergalactic twist.

Hilton San Diego Gaslamp is leveling up attendees' Comic Con experience with the limited time Level Up Lounge, a retro-inspired gaming tavern taking over Wild Hare Bar Garden. Open throughout Comic-Con, the limited-time pop-up invites fans, cosplayers, and convention-goers to step into a vibrant world of pixel-art décor, themed cocktails, nostalgic gaming-inspired details, interactive photo moments, and live entertainment. Just steps from the San Diego Convention Center, Level Up Lounge is open daily during Comic-Con, offering fans a chance to recharge after a day of cosplay, panels, and gaming activations. Inspired by the nostalgia of classic video games, this limited-time experience invites guests to press pause, power up, and feel like they've stepped into a real-life arcade adventure.

WEREWOLF AMERICAN PUB

One of my favorite places to stop in all year round. Offering $6 Comic-Con themed shots, special-edition pancakes, and no cover charge, it’s perfectly located just a few blocks from the convention center. The crowd is energetic, the DJ keeps the rotation moving, and it’s a stellar spot to belt out tunes.

THE TIPSY CROW

Located in the Gaslamp Quarter, The Tipsy Crow is teasing exclusive "A Tipsy Story" events for Comic-Con 2026. While their exact schedules and drink menus for the convention are still being finalized, the venue is gearing up for a major pop-culture weekend just 0.6 miles from the San Diego Convention Center. This two level space historically offers up live music, billards, and comfy seating during their themed experiences.

THE SMOKING GUN

The Smoking Gun will be opening early for Comic Con - at Noon on Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24 – and featuring retro arcade-themed food and drinks all weekend long. Stop in to sip on the Power Up Punch, made with Volcan Blanco, elderflower, Italian aperitif, bitters, and lemon, Bonus Round Rita - Casamigos Blanco, agave, and lime, the Centi-Bean Martini, with vodka, Irish cream, and Spill the Beans Cold Brew, Prickly Kongmade with vodka, green chili, passionfruit, prickly pear, rhubarb bitters, strawberry, and lemon, or the Pac-Tai - a boozy secret blend of rums with a limit of two per person. Food specials include The Final Boss Burger, two ¼ pound wagyu beef patties, American cheese, roasted garlic aioli, and pickled all served on a butter-brushed brioche bun, Level-Up Nachos - crispy tortilla chips piled high with beer cheese, sour cream and salsa fresca, with the option to add wagyu chili, Frogger’s Frito Pie, a classic pile-up of crunchy Fritos topped with wagyu Texas-style chili, cheddar cheese blend, and green onions, 8-Bit Fries - golden fries seasoned with signature house chile rub and smoked salt, and more. Alongside these tasty food and drink specials, enjoy The Smoking Gun’s arcade! SPILL THE BEANS

Spill the Beans’ Gaslamp location is featuring two specialty lattes available during Comic Con weekend, July 23 - July 26. Playing along with the shop’s Peanuts theme, The Great Pumpkin Latte is made using espresso with pumpkin pie sauce, homemade vanilla, caramel drizzle, and milk, served hot or iced. And the Charlie Brown Lemon Bar Latte, made with homemade lemon bar syrup, milk, and espresso, topped with lemon bar cold foam and wafer cookie crumble, is a nod to Charlie Brown’s iconic yellow shirt.

THE DIAMNOD ROOM

The Diamond Room is a newly opened, 50-seat upscale cocktail lounge and speakeasy. It is located right outside the Gaslamp Gate of Petco Park in Downtown San Diego's East Village. No ballpark ticket is required to enter.

Just 0.3 miles from the convention center, the Diamond Room at Petco Park is hosting premium SDCC festivities. Experience themed cocktails like the "Berserker Weapon X", daily $12 lunch specials, Comic-Con Trivia Nights, and lively DJ after-parties during the convention weekend. I suggest making reservations.

Asa Bakery & Cafe is bringing Studio Ghibli magic to the pastry case with a limited-edition lineup of Totoro-inspired pastries and Makkuro Kurosuke (Soot Sprite) cookies, offering playful, handcrafted treats that blend nostalgia with Japanese bakery artistry.

BAR KAMON

Bar Kamon is stepping into a whimsical, cinematic cocktail lineup inspired by beloved animated worlds. Highlights include the “Spirit of the Forest” (brown butter bourbon, allspice, lemon, maple cold foam), the bright “Ponyo Loves Sosuke” (reposado tequila, orange liqueur, spirulina, lime), and the rich “The Upside Down” (rye, amaro, sweet vermouth, chocolate orange foam).

 

Relic Bakery, in collaboration with Tailored Hair and Sneaky Fox Records, is hosting a Pokémon-themed event on Friday, July 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., complete with specialty Pokémon-inspired pastries available all weekend.

Beshock Ramen is channeling kaiju energy with a Godzilla-inspired sake and ramen pairing, bringing together warming, umami-rich ramen bowls alongside curated sake pours designed to match the intensity of the iconic monster himself.

 

The Blind Burro is going intergalactic with an alien-themed celebration featuring an “Out of This World Margarita” paired with a galaxy shot, plus a high-energy outer space dance party with a live DJ on Saturday night.

 

Tajima Ramen will offer sake flights and potential happy hour specials throughout the weekend—perfect for fueling up between Comic-Con adventures.


East Village Tavern & Bowl is hosting a COSPLAY Music Video Bingo night on Saturday, July 25 at 7:00 p.m., where guests in costume receive a complimentary second set of bingo cards and a featured welcome drink.
