Wild Rivers Waterpark is hosting the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ on Thursday, June 26 at 10:00am, as part of a global initiative to combat childhood drowning. This year’s powerful theme, “Mission Possible: Swim Lessons Save Lives,” emphasizes the life-saving importance of learning to swim.

Wild Rivers Waterpark is hosting the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™

In partnership with MemorialCare and the Jasper Ray Foundation, this year’s event will empower participants to become official Wild Rivers Water Safety Agents by taking part in a half hour swim lesson happening simultaneously at hundreds of locations worldwide. Wild Rivers is excited to continue spreading awareness and funding programs that help make drowning a preventable tragedy

Participants are encouraged to pre-register HERE (password: WLSL2025) and check in by 9:45 a.m. Registration is $40 per person, which includes:

  • Admission to the 10 a.m. swim lesson

  • Full-day access to Wild Rivers Waterpark

  • An exclusive “Mission Possible – Swim Lessons Save Lives” T-shirt (for the first 150 participants)

  • A $20 donation directly benefiting the Jasper Ray Foundation’s work in drowning prevention

“As a waterpark, we believe water safety is a community responsibility,” said Susan Kruizinga, Director of Sales and Marketing at Wild Rivers. “We are thrilled to team up with MemorialCare and the Jasper Ray Foundation to spread awareness and fund programs that help make drowning a preventable tragedy.” MemorialCare, along with Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital, is a proud advocate for community health and wellness, especially water safety. Teaching children to swim and be safe around water is not just a fun activity, but a critical life skill. Drowning is a leading cause of death of children ages 1-4, yet it is entirely preventable. Their support underscores the importance of swimming skills and water safety, particularly as summer approaches and families head to pools and beaches.

The Jasper Ray Foundation’s vision is to change the way people think about drowning: Drowning is preventable, and it’s everyone’s responsibility to keep children safe around water. Space is limited and this impactful event is expected to sell out. Don’t miss your chance to take part in this meaningful mission.
